Do you want to enjoy a driverless trip? Are you interested in being picked up by a self-driving car? Then a special area in Smart China Expo is just for you.
In August, a small town for self-driving cars will open to the public in SCE. In this town, you can get your hands free from the steering wheel and have a wonderful trip.
Many automakers will provide their self-driving cars in town, including PandAuto, whose cars have already run in Chongqing Liangjiang New Area Internet Industrial Park.
In the Park, you can open the PandAuto app, and tap “Use the Car Immediately”. Then in a nearby parking lot, a PandAuto self-driving car starts its engine and stops by your side after automatically making turns, identifying traffic lights and avoiding vehicles and pedestrians. When you get off the car, you tap “Return the Car” and the car goes back to the parking lot by itself.
There are 6 PandAuto self-driving cars in the Park, and more than 2,000 people have tried a driverless trip.
In SCE, you can experience all these hot PandAuto cars together with other self-driving cars. The latest achievements about automatic drive will be released on SCE, too.
