There are noticeable changes happening in this old mountain city. Upon Observing your surroundings, you would figure out the new look of the city in everyday life. Getting down to the basics, washrooms have been transformed and they are in involved in a revolution to make a better image of Chongqing.

Refers to 10 Oct. 2018’s news about the new Plan of Chongqing City Comprehensive Management Promotion （abbreviated as plan）, the plan calls for an improvement in public restrooms. In order to make a good public washroom system, it says the government would provide 720 washrooms in downtown Chongqing within 2019. In addition, restrooms construction is listed on priority project, according to national standard: the overall quantity of restrooms would reach 3160 in total by 2019.

In order to make things convenient for the elderly and children, gender washrooms are implemented in construction. Besides the basic facilities, there are baby care rooms, children’s special facilities including pull rod, caution beeper, children’s toilets, safe seats, and etc. There are also more rooms for females, and plants around the washroom.

Reducing the contamination by touching
Washroom needs to be cleaned with ventilation, electricity, and water. Chongqing’s washrooms would apply the local cultural elements in decoration, and it should reflect the humor and city’s features. In terms of Bureau for Environmental Health, the design of the washrooms aims to reduce the contamination by touching, for example, sensor would take place the tap of water faucet to avoid touching.
