The Yangtze River Cruise is an amazing way to experience the Three Gorges

The event, Back to The Three Gorges, looks for visitors who were at the Three Gorges 20 years ago. It is organized by Chongqing Municipal Commission of Tourism Development. Some foreign visitors e-mailed to share their stories about the beautiful place. What's more, there is a special visitor, who visited the incredible nature in 1997 as a translator.
Feel the Three Gorges with Foreign Friends
When Kataoka, the vice-president of Hitachi Metals in Japan, visited the Three Gorges in 1997, it was Mr. Chuanzhou Wang, who worked for a translation agency, accompanied them. The trip started from Chengdu, and the driver sent them to the harbor by way of Dazu District.

The cruise they took in 1997 was Qianlong Cruise Ship, which was the most luxurious ship on the Yangtze River at that time. It was the only ship with royal style of Qing Dynasty in China.
The most impressive scenery for them should be Small Three Gorges. When the cruise passes through the colorful canyon, sheer walls and grassy peaks shocked Kataoka and Chuanzhou. The lush forests, mysterious caves on the cliffs, and lively monkeys attracted them a lot. Chuanzhou Wang explained details and stories about Small Three Gorges along the trip. Kataoka was particularly interested in hanging coffins, which were set on the wall of the cliff.

When the trip ended, Chuanzhou Wang sent the group photo to Ms. Kataoka. Then, he received her reply with the stamp on the letter because Chuanzhou had the habit of stamp collecting. Otherwise, Ms. Kataoka sent him lots of new Japanese stamps too. “Friendship is more than nationality.” Said Chuanzhou Wang.

About the Event
“Back to The Three Gorges” invites 200 foreign visitors and the crews served the foreign visitors back to the Three Gorges again. It is FREE if the one visited there before 1997. The trip will last for 5 days and 4 nights from November 6th to 10th. There are almost 200 visitors that have applied the event.
The event highlights a 5-star cruise, which will lead visitors to enjoy the magnificent Three Gorges. It will cruise along the Yangtze River from Chongqing to Wushan County, Baidi City, to Three Gorges Dam as the destination. Participants will have the chance to watch the Great Rivers Concert performed by world famous choirs in Wanzhou during the trip.
