To deepen the relationship with Italy and Hungary, and promote our cultural exchanges and cooperation, the 2018 Embrace China • Chongqing Cultural Week, sponsored by Chongqing Culture Commission and Chongqing Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, and organized by Chongqing Performance Arts Group and Chongqing Performance Company, was held in Milan on 25th and 26th October, 2018.

This activity aims to promote cultural exchanges between China and Europe, showcase the rich and unique Chongqing culture arts, enhance China's influence and reputation in Italy, deepen the understanding of Chongqing and promote China -Italy cooperation in economy, culture and social exchanges.

Modern dance “Landscape of Chongqing”
The Chongqing Culture Delegation consists of 39 professional actors and artists from Chongqing Ballet Troupe, Chongqing National Orchestra Troupe, Chongqing Traditional Folk Arts Troupe, and more. Chinese arts performances with quintessential Chinese style will be presented, such as; Chinese Folk Music Performance “Toccata of Chongqing-Sinkiang-Europe International Railway”, Picture Exhibition “Chongqing Impression”, Sichuan Opera Performance “Face-changing” and other intangible cultural heritage displays that have impressed the visitors with a feast of Chinese influential traditional culture.

During the 2018 Embrace China•Chongqing Cultural Week, 5 performances and exhibitions were held in 4 cities of Europe to show the cultural confidence of China.
