On November 20, the Chongqing-built “Century Glory” (Shi Ji Rong Yao) cruise ship illuminated the Yangtze River. Following the successful launch of it in Fuling section of the Yangtze River, it spent over a year on the water. In addition, it is the largest cruise ship in the Yangtze River Basin, with the most seats. Meanwhile, “Century Glory” embraces the highest comfort and intelligence. The cruise ship is 149.98 meters in length, 21 meters in width and 4.6 meters in depth. There are 6 floors in total, a maximum draught of 3.1 meters. Besides, the designed speed is 26 kilometers per hour and a seating capacity of 650 passengers. After putting into operation, it will be engaged in foreign-related tourism between Shanghai and Chongqing.

The cruise ship adopts the world’s first-class core technology in the cruise ship industry–electric propulsion system. It effectively promotes the upgrading of the propulsion mode of the inland ship and improves the speed. Thus, the system helps for its excellent vibration and noise-reducing capability.

After the successful launch, interior decoration and equipment installation will follow up. Additionally, the cruise ship will open to operation in July next year.
