Chongqing-Krabi Non-Stop Air Route is Open!

On December 8, journalists of Upstream News learned from AirAsia that Chongqing-Krabi air route is officially open. Chongqing has another non-stop flight to the city in Thailand. It is also the third fixed point non-stop flight in Chongqing open by AirAsia.

Information for the New Flight

At present, tourists from Chongqing have to transit at Bangkok, Guangzhou or Shanghai. In the middle of last month, AirAsia announced the sale of Chongqing-Krabi non-stop air route. This provides more travel options for Chongqing citizens to travel in Thailand. Meanwhile, the newly open Chongqing-Krabi air route has one flight each day, with departure flight number FD579. It will depart from Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport at 02:15 (Beijing time). And, it will arrive at Krabi International Airport at 05:50 am (local time in Thailand). In addition, the return flight number FD578, departing from Krabi International Airport at 20:55 (local time in Thailand). Moreover, it will arrive at Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport at 01:15 (Beijing time). The whole flight time is about 3.5 hours.

According to AirAsia, the new air route is currently its exclusive flight, and also the third fixed point non-stop flight open in Chongqing by AirAsia. The passenger load factor of its first flight today reaches 85%. AirAsia has already opened two non-stop flights to Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur in Chongqing, all in sound operation since their opening, with an average passenger load factor in the first 10 months this year exceeding 86%.

It is reported that the one-way ticket price (including tax) at the beginning of the first flight is only RMB 360 and that during the New Year’s Day and the Spring Festival will be RMB 900 and about RMB 2,000 respectively.
