Chongqing has released the 2019 events scheduled at Chongqing Olympic Sports Center. In 2019, Chongqing will witness three major international and domestic high-level events. They include the Asian Grand Prix 2019, 2019 National Diving Championship and Olympic Trials, and the Grand Final of WESG 2018.
Asian Grand Prix 2019
There are two stops of the Asian Grand Prix 2019 in Chongqing including Chongqing Olympic Sports Center. In the past events, the athletes in the competition all ranked top 16 in Asia. There were also many world champions and Asian champions. At present, Su Bingtian and Xie Zhenye, Chinese athletes of track and field athletics, rank top 10 in Asia. That means both of them are likely to be at the event. Let’s look forward to this competition!

2019 National Diving Championship and Olympic Trials will also settle in Chongqing Olympic Sports Center. More than 10 Olympic and world champions on active duty in the National Diving Team will enter the competition. Meanwhile, it will also conduct trials for Tokyo 2022 Olympic Games.

Grand Final of World Electronic Sports Games 2018 (Grand Final of WESG 2018)
From March 7 to 17, Grand Final of World Electronic Sports Games (WESG) 2018-2019 will kick off in Chongqing. With a total bonus of over USD 2.5 million, it will permanently settle in Chongqing. Additionally, it will make its debut at Chongqing Olympic Sports Center, the home court of Chongqing SWM Motors. According to the sponsor, that is because it’s the landmark of Chongqing sports.

There are not only international and domestic events at Chongqing Olympic Sports Center in 2019. Three major public welfare activities will also kick off there, including a national fitness activity. It’s the Launching Ceremony of 2019 National Fitness Month at Chongqing Olympic Sports Center themed “Olympic Sports Invigorates Jiulongpo District”. There are also a series of public welfare activities of the National Fitness Day. In addition, the sports center will see the Free Autumn Fitness Season as well. During the activities, the sports center will open to the public for free or at a low charge. The swimming and diving hall, the badminton hall, and national fitness monitoring will all be free of charge.
