A tailored energy renovation plan for Yuzhong District with domestic and foreign experts

Zhang Yunpeng, Director of NECC International Cooperation Department, introduced the characteristics of this region. “Yuzhong District is Chongqing’s old and built-up area. It is a typical district in energy-saving renovation for old buildings and environmental protection and energy saving for new ones. The urban heat island effect is obvious for the high building density here, making it ideal for promoting regional energy.”

He introduced the NECC’s efforts to develop a tailored energy renovation plan for Yuzhong District with domestic and foreign experts. According to the plan, they will build an integrated energy control system to improve the energy management of energy consumers.

Japan plays a part in Energy Conservation Center

At the event, Energy Conservation Center, Japan (ECCJ) selected some industry brains to give lectures. Representatives from the four organizations made special speeches. They are Nikken Sekkei Research Institute (NSRI), Heat Pump & Thermal Storage Technology Center of Japan (HPTCJ), Azbil Corporation and Regional Energy Promotion Department of Air-conditioning System of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries.

The topics include the significance of introducing regional heating and cooling in urban construction, the latest technology and market development of Japan’s heat pump with a thermal storage system, the operation and management support system for urban building equipment, and related equipment and products for heating and renewable energy. Yuzhong District signed strategic cooperation agreements with Azbil Corporation and other enterprises to comprehensively promote energy-saving projects. They aim to develop the energy-saving industry vigorously.
