On March 5, the auto industry patent data center established by Chongqing Intellectual Property Information Center launched officially. It is open to the public for free. After its establishment, the platform will provide high-quality and cost-free patent data for citywide auto-related enterprises, research institutes and innovators.

The platform includes the three databases about traditional automobiles and motorcycles, new-energy vehicles, and intelligent connected vehicles. It contains patent data from 102 countries and regions such as China, US, Japan, South Korea and those in Europe. The data information updates with that of State Intellectual Property Office synchronously. The center searches and screens the collected patent data professionally. It also follows the industry standards and industrial characteristics in Chongqing to establish technical classification navigation.
The platform also offers options covering patent search, technology-themed navigation, comprehensive analysis and real-time information about key enterprises. That enables users rapidly and accurately to access the latest information about technology, market and laws at home and abroad. Based on that, users can keep abreast of rivals, industry trends, technological development and regional comparisons.
Chongqing Intellectual Property Information Center introduced its significance. After its establishment, the platform will facilitate enterprises to search for patent information in different technical categories. It also helps them to save time in searching. Moreover, it promotes the product R&D of Chongqing’s automakers in utilizing the patent search tool.
