The city of Chongqing has amazing viewings in spring, attracting citizens as well as visitors. Meanwhile, each district in downtown Chongqing has its own characteristic. We present some of the most beautiful places to enjoy the season of spring in Yubei District, luxuriant trees, plum blossoms, peach blossoms, red plum blossoms, pink wild cherry blossoms, come and enjoy.
Bijin Park (碧津公园)-----luxuriant trees
Bijin Park is famous for its luxuriant trees. Near the mountain and by the river, it enjoys tortuous paths but the appropriate layout. Plants in the park are varied; flowers blooming in the spring are especially fascinating. When the spring time, peach blossoms, plum blossoms, and azaleas will fill the Park.

Red prunus mume, magnolia alba, and cherry blossoms are blooming in Bijin Park. Actually, over 200,000 spring flowers in over 100 species are waiting for visitors, including camellias, Primula malacoides, bellis perennis, and viola tricolor.
Besides red plum blossoms, other spring flowers also begin their flowering phase one after another. People can visit Bijin Park for spring flower admiring till early May.

1. Take buses, such as No. 685, No. 692 and No. 865, to Bijin Station, and then walk to Bijin Park;
2. Take CRT Line 3 to Bijin Station.
Yinhe Village Tongjing Town (统景印盒)-----Plum blossoms
Plum blossoms covering the whole mountain are the label of Yinhe Village in March.
At Shuishiba, the best flower admiring place, plum blossoms, although having not been in bloom yet, welcome some “early birds”. Visitors can find buds beside the blooming flowers, indicating an upcoming “plum blossoms party”.

The history of planting plum blossoms in Yinhe Village can date back to over 50 years ago. However, the large scale planting has just lasted 20-odd years. Flower admiring event themed with “Visit Yinhe Village in Spring for Snow” has been held for 9 consecutive years. The Village then becomes a well-known place for the activity.
The fluorescence will last from March 1 to 15, 2019, with over 90% of plum blossoms blooming around March 8. By then, visitors will enjoy the breathtaking scenery brought by the white flowers.

By car: Visitors should drive 8 minutes from Tongjing Town to Yinhe Village through either of the following two routes: 1. Renhe—Chongqing-Linshui Expressway—Caoping—Long’an—Yinhe; 2. Renhe—Chongqing-Linshui Expressway—Caoping—Gaozui—Yinhe.

Yungui Mountain in Dasheng Town (大盛云龟山)-----wild cherry blossoms
Yungui Mountain is a forest park covered by verdant and lush trees with an elevation of around 1,000 meters. In March, white and pink wild cherry blossoms will cover the Mountain little by little, embellishing the forest with a bit of wild beauty.

In the wild cherry blossom forest, most of the trees are older than 60 years. And the most longevous one is no younger than 200 years old. The full-blossom period of cherry blossoms on Yungui Mountain is from March 1 to 10 this year. Some wild Himalayan cherry will not bloom until mid-March.

Zhaomushan Forest Park (照母山公园)-----red plum blossoms
Zhaomushan Forest Park has hiking trails surrounded by red plum blossoms. Visitors can either walk or cycle on the trails to pursue the floral aroma.
Apart from admiring cherry blossoms and red plum blossoms, visitors can also picnic on the vast lawn within the Park.
