China Railway Express (Chongqing) to Open Regular Special Trains for Cross-border E-commerce

From this month, China-Europe freight trains (Chongqing) will open regular and special trains for cross-border e-commerce. The plan is under the support of China-Singapore (Chongqing) Demonstration Initiative on Strategic Connectivity (CCI-ILSTC).

China Railway Express to Europe is put into operation.

Zhongxin Huantong (Chongqing) Multimodal Transportation Company (YPL for short) and Guizhou Zuntie Logistics Development Investment Co., Ltd. (GZLDI for short) entered a strategic cooperation agreement under the CCI-ILSTC. The two parties will deepen their cooperation in opening the international railway transportation for containers to Poland. The special trains are for cross-border e-commerce under China-Europe freight trains (Chongqing).

According to the agreement, the GZLDI will organize the packing in Gaimao Freight Station of Guiyang. Then, people in Chongqing Tuanjie Village Railway Central Station will reorganize the cargos. At last, the China-Europe freight trains (Chongqing) will take these cargos to Poland. In the plan, there is one special train for cross-border e-commerce per week, and it will launch this month.

This cooperation is under the joint promotion of the Administrative Bureau of the CCI-ILSTC and Guizhou Provincial Department of Commerce. After several rounds of discussions and negotiations, YPL and GZLDI finally reached the a consensus. Their cooperation will boost the construction of “New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor under CCI-ILSTC”. It will also play an active role in intensifying regional cooperation. It will promote the coordinated development of commerce and logistics. Furthermore, it will also intensify the foreign cooperation in commerce and logistics and broaden the international market.
