“Our eye health products require quality water resources and a good ecological environment. Therefore, we finally choose Fengjie after a comprehensive evaluation,” said Wang Yuming proudly and excitedly, from Fengjie County Immigration Eco-Industrial Park on April 10, who is Director of Chongqing Shijian Eye Health Industry Co., Ltd. The company mainly produces 10 eyecare products like collyria and eye drops. Since it built the factories and put them into production last October, the products were in short supply, and now the company has sold its products to more than 20 countries and regions including Europe and America. “Considering Fengjie’s environment and policies, we have increased the investment to RMB 250 million, and the total output value will reach RMB 800 million after we build all the factories and put them into operation,” said Wang.

In addition to Chongqing Shijian Eye Health Industry Co., Ltd., lots of enterprises have also settled in Fengjie for its ecological environment.

“We give priority to environment and promote green development,” said Qi Meiwen, County Mayor of Fengjie. He added that, according to the requirements of industrial ecologicalization and ecological industrialization, Fengjie took the immigration eco-industrial park as its core to fully implement the initiative of promoting eco-industrial development, so as to build 6 industrial clusters of glasses manufacturing, featured agricultural products processing, bio-pharmaceuticals, new materials, clean energy, and green building materials. By 2020, with the output value exceeding RMB 10 billion, the park will basically build a characteristic agricultural products processing base in the Three Gorges Reservoir Region, a glasses industry production base in Western China (Chongqing), as well as a clean energy base and a new material production base in Northeast Chongqing.

“Fengjie County Immigration Eco-Industrial Park will build a glasses industrial park in Western China (Chongqing) targeting an annual output value of RMB 5 billion,” said Meng Lin, Director of the park’s Management Committee. At present, there are 16 companies of glasses industry in the park, preliminarily forming the structure of the whole industry chain, with an annual output of 62 million pairs of frames, 110 million pairs of lenses, 10 million pieces of contact lenses, 15 million sets of eye health products, and 2,500 sets of glasses molds.
