Asia300 Global Forum Chongqing Summit will be held on May 16th

According to the organizing committee of Asia300 Global Forum Chongqing Summit (Asia300), the summit will be held on May 16 in Chongqing Wyndham Hotel. This event is organized by Chongqing Municipal People's Government Press Office, Chongqing Municipal Commission of Commerce, Chongqing Daily News Group, Nihon Keizai Shimbun (Nikkel), and Chongqing International Media Center. This summit will have more than 300 guests and experts from politics and business fields to discuss the topic "Towards an Open Asian Economic Area: The Potential of Closer Partnerships".

Nikkei Asia300 Global Business Forum is a commercial forum hosted by the Nihon Keizai Shimbun for Asia and the global economy. The forum mainly uses the Nikkei Index as the database to publish the annual Top 300 Listed Companies in Asia. It will focus, research and explore Asia`s economy. Since 2016, it has been held in Bangkok, Singapore, and other places. The previous topics include “Enhancing Asia's Competitiveness”, “Resilience Strategy for Responding to Changing World Order” and “Destructive Innovation Management”.

For this time Asia 300 Chongqing Summit, the theme will be Towards an Open Asian Economic Area: The Potential of Closer Partnerships. The participating experts, scholars, and entrepreneurs will focus on this topic and the Belt and Road initiative for the panel discussion in order to represent the outcome of the Belt and Road – communication, building together and sharing.

The A300 Chongqing Summit will invite 10 important keynote speakers including former Japanese politicians, entrepreneurs, general managers or directors of Asian famous companies and research scholars. At the same time, it will also launch a guest dialogue session.

Zhang Zhengrong, Regional Director from Nissin, and Zhao Mingqi, Co-President, Real Estate, GLP China, will hold a dialogue around “The Belt and Road – New Driving Forces for Asian Economic Development”. Dr. Ingrid van Wees, Vice-President for Finance and Risk Management from Asia Development Bank (ADB) and Luky Eko Wuryanto, Vice President and Chief Administration Officer from Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), will conduct a dialogue on "how to better promote Asian development."

The summit will also invite other well-known Asian entrepreneurs to participate in the Western China International Fair for Investment and Trade in the same day, and the number of participants will reach 300 or more.
