9 academicians discuss the building of this facility in Chongqing
Centering on the theme of Frontier Scientific Issues and Future Development of Data Science and Big Data, this symposium aims to analyze and discuss the issues on the relevant technological research, so as to explore the necessity and feasibility of establishing related infrastructure.
Known as the Father of Large-Capacity Programme-Controlled Digital Switches in China, Wu Jiangxing, Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering and Director of National Digital Switching System Engineering and Technological Research Center, delivered a keynote speech.
In addition to Vice Director Chen Zuoning of Chinese Academy of Engineering and Academician Guo Yike of Royal Academy of Engineering, other six academicians are from fields such as computer technology, automation, communication, and network. More than 100 well-known experts and scholars in the field also participated in this symposium, including Jiang Changjun, President of Donghua University, and Sun Ninghui, Director of Institute of Computing Technology of Chinese Academy of Sciences.
To build Big Data Infrastructure within this year
During the two-day symposium, academicians and experts gave eight wonderful special reports. Furthermore, there was a round-table forum for academicians to conduct a further discussion on the frontier scientific issues about the development of this facility.
According to Academician Wu Jiangxing, China proposed and will build this scientific facility, drawing attention worldwide. Based on this platform, therefore, a number of talent, and research institutions and universities in the field of big data will settle down in Chongqing.
To incubate numerous entities of technological innovation for Chongqing
This facility, after completion, will attract tens of thousands of people to explore data science theories and development rules in big data facilities and develop the most advanced technology in the industry. Then provide basic support for China to lead data scientific research and master the systematic core technology of big data, and offer services for the related national strategy.
Relying on the facility with large-scale data capacity and advanced management analysis ability, Chongqing will incubate a large group of entities of technological innovation for all industries at the new stages of big data application in computing, storage, transmission, and management. Supporting big data R&D and talent training, as well as big data deduction and experiment on policy and decision-making, it will act as a bridge between governments, enterprises, capital investments, technologies, and data resources.
