The combination of two conferences for the first time

According to Xu Xiaolan, Deputy Chair and Secretary General of the Chinese Institute of Electronics, both cloud computing and IoT have played a core role in advancing digital economy. As the two technologies are of great significance in the era of Intelligence Plus, both enjoy great potential for development. Drawing experience from Cloud Computing Technology Conference and Chinese Internet of Things Conference, the CCCIOT 2019 reflects the trend of all-around and in-depth integration. Besides technological fusion, this conference has also realized technology-industry and technology-capital integration, striving to open up the innovation chain and industrial chain.

The attendees included Prof. Brian David Josephson, Nobel Laureate, Judith MacManus-Driscoll, Professor of Department of Materials Science and Metallurgy at University of Cambridge and Academician of Royal Academy of Engineering, CAS Academicians Mei Hong and Yao Jianquan and CAE Academicians Ni Guangnan, Li Peigen, He You, Shen Changxiang and Zhong Shan, along with IEEE Fellows Wu Dapeng, Mao Shiwen and Huang Jianwei. New era: the integration of IoE and Cloud Computing-IoT

At the opening ceremony, Director Wang Qinmin of National E-Government Expert Committee said that China had completed more than 700 million connections of IoT in 2018. With the commercial use and deployment of 5G networks, it has seen fast growth in the application of Industrial IoT, Consumer IoT, and IoT for Smart Cities. The physical world and the digital universe are accelerating integration and interaction in an all-around way.

The conference contains many industries such as smart city, smart living, supply chain and so on

The relevant data indicated the IoT market in China had exceeded RMB 1 trillion, with the increasingly improved industrial system. As the private cloud market has been up to RMB 52.46 billion and the public one up to RMB 38.25 billion, the total achieved a year-on-year increase of 31.1%.

Zhang Feng, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Chief Engineer of Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, considers the two technologies have become an important support for China to facilitate informatization and develop new drivers for the digital economy. The overall scale of China’s cloud computing reached about RMB 330 billion in 2018, and that of IoT exceeded RMB 1.2 trillion.
