Chongqing- On May 17th, the Hungarian Artificial Intelligence Tourism Forum was held, during the 2nd Western China International Fair for Investment and Trade in Chongqing. The forum was held for the signing of the cooperation agreement between the Budapest Festival and Tourism Center (BFTK) and the Artificial Intelligence Worldwide Travel Chain (AIWTC).

The signing ceremony was followed by presentations on Hungarian Medical Tourism, an engaging presentation about Budapest as a tourist city and the thermal hot spring Lake, Hévís, as well as an introduction to visas for Hungary and usage of Artificial Intelligence in the tourism industry.

Hungary is famous for its thermal hot springs and has invested heavily in its medical tourism industry. Michael Wallace from the Hungarian Tourism Agency and Hévís Municipal Government Vice-Mayor, József János, provided a great deal of information on Hungary's Hot Spring and Spa industry as well as details on treatments available for a number of Medica conditions at the largest thermal hot spring lake in the world in Hévís.

China is currently the 4th largest source of tourists coming to Hungary. Hopes are high that their cooperation with AIWTC, as well as including the Chinese language in airports will help increase the number of Chinese tourists coming to Hungary.

Hungary's infrastructure was built within the last 15 years, making travel inside the country very easy, and the number of visits to Hungary has more than doubled since the 2008 financial crisis. And as Hungary is part of Schengen, Chinese tourists can apply for just one visa but visit other countries as well, not only Hungary. Budapest also offers the Budapest Card, a convenient travel card that gives you access to transportation as well as tourist attractions.

The presentation from AIWTC outlined their ideas for travel 3.0 where, with the help of Artificial Intelligence and big data, tourists attractions and tourist product producers can achieve a higher level of personalization and more tailored recommendations for tourists to find their ideal holiday.
