According to Chongqing Investment Promotion Bureau (CIPB), from January to April, Chongqing officially signed 383 projects with a total contract value of RMB 311.93 billion, including 77 valuing over RMB 1 billion, with the contract amount of RMB 251.98 billion. This accounts for 80.8% of the total amount signed in the first four months.
In April, particularly, Chongqing signed 112 projects, with a total contract value of RMB 79.53 billion. Among which 19 valued over RMB 1 billion with the contract amount of RMB 60.78 billion, accounting for 76.3% of the total amount signed in April.

In terms of the category, there were 50 industrial projects, with a contract amount of RMB 26.11 billion, accounting for 32.8% of the contract amount signed in April. Meanwhile, there were 16 projects for scientific and technological innovation and strategic emerging industries, with a contract amount of RMB 23 billion, accounting for 28.9% of the total amount signed in April.
During the first four months, the investment in the new investment attraction projects in the past two years achieved totaling RMB 31.25 billion, including RMB 25.4 billion for secondary industry and RMB 5.48 billion for the tertiary industry.
Since this year, Chongqing has made continuous efforts on key industries and areas and has made all-out efforts on investment attraction featuring openness, precision, and cooperation.
At present, some major projects such as Digital Factory of Tsinghua Unigroup, China-Hungary Co-building Intelligent Industrial Terminal, WINSIDE IoT Chips, and BYD New Energy Vehicle Battery Production Base are underway. A number of innovative R&D institutions including Chongqing Research Institute of East China Normal University, Chongqing Innovation Center and Microelectronics Center of Beijing Institute of Technology, and Changshou Institute of Green Chemical Industry of Wuhan Institute of Technology settled in Chongqing. Plenty of major events, such as the thematic dialogue on co-building the ILSTC, have been held. The plan for Chongqing–Guizhou cooperation has been released and implemented. In addition, Chongqing also develops cooperation with Duisburg (Germany), Ndjamena (the Republic of Chad) and Sacramento (the US).
