Chongqing - Based on advanced hydrogen-energy technologies and its automobile industrial bases, Chongqing in southwestern China accelerates the deployment of hydrogen-energy vehicles, and recently Jiaxing Deran Power System Co., Ltd. settled in Chongqing Liangjiang New Area, according to the Liangjiang New Area Administrative Committee。

Jiaxing Deran Power has a total investment of 1 billion yuan. The project is estimated to reach a value of 2.5 billion yuan after being put into operation. The company will build an annual production capacity of 3,000 sets of fuel cell power systems and core parts production bases for vehicles. Moreover, the demonstration operation of 500 fuel cell vehicles will be realized at the initial stage of the project.
In addition, Snowman Group and the Grove Hydrogen Automotive Company Limited signed contracts with and have already settled in Chongqing in March and May respectively this year. These companies and many more will establish a hydrogen fuel cell system and core component production base in the city.

The total investment of the Snowman Group in this program is 4.55 billion RMB. After three sessions of construction, it will reach a capacity of 100,000 hydrogen cell engines and electric piles annually. Grove Hydrogen Automotive Company Limited celebrated its first cars produced from its Nan’an District Chongqing production factory in Southwest China, April 13, 2019. The production factory is located in the China Intelligence Valley (Chongqing) Science Park, which aims to build a new-energy industrial park.
The person in charge of the automobile industry of Chongqing Liangjiang New Area Administrative Committee said that the national new area would build a hydrogen energy industry ecological chain worth 100 billion yuan.
Chongqing is an important automobile manufacturing base in China, and it has actively transformed into new energy vehicles and other fields in recent years. According to its plan, Chongqing will achieve an annual output of 400,000 new energy vehicles by 2022.
