On June 12, the 2019 National Mass Entrepreneurship and Innovation Week (Ba’nan, Chongqing), sponsored by the Science and Technology Bureau of Ba’nan District, officially opened. There were many high-tech exhibits. It was reported that a large batch of activities, such as the exhibition of scientific and technological achievements, the policy of mass entrepreneurship and innovation which was introduced into college campuses and relevant spaces, brought a different experience to the public in association with mass entrepreneurship and innovation.

The gas-filling pile for automobiles

“With long-time preparation, we have designed and manufactured this type of shared gas-filling pile for automobiles on the basis of sharing brought about by information technology,” said Shao Qiang, a student from Chongqing Institute of Engineering. This shared gas-filling pile can be installed at all petrol stations and parking spaces, thus providing free and convenient service for car owners.

The smart doorbell

One exhibit at the event featured a “smart doorbell” attracting many curious citizens. The demonstration showed how the doorbell activated camera could be connected to a mobile phone. When the doorbell button is pressed, the visitor’s head image and voice information will be immediately sent to the householder in real-time. If the householder is absent, they could also speak to the visitor through the doorbell speaker.

The pre-alarm device for urban traffic ponding

On the spot, college students also made a variety of practical articles for daily use by virtue of different kinds of science and technology. For example, the pre-alarm device for urban traffic ponding, which can monitor the water level in advance and analyze whether a vehicle can pass safely. There is also a safety device that can be installed on a vehicle. In case a person falls into a coma in a car accident, the machine can automatically alarm the police and send his location info to the relevant contacts.

The high-tech displayed on site is only an example of Ba’nan’s mass entrepreneurship and innovation activities. It is one of the key work to develop the mass entrepreneurship spaces in Ba’nan, aiming to create an excellent environment for mass entrepreneurship and innovation for both college teachers and students.

At present, Ba’nan District has eight municipal-level mass entrepreneurship spaces, with a total area of more than 40,000 square meters. More than 200 subjects of mass entrepreneurship and innovation, including over 1,400 people, set up their businesses in the spaces.
