According to the director of Chongqing Municipal Commission of Commerce, the introduction of Sam’s Club to the downtown is a key foreign investment project of the city, as well as an important part of Chongqing’ upgrading of the consumption market.

The name of Sam’s Club is from Mr. Sam Walton, the founder of Wal-Mart Group. Since its access to the international market in the early 1990s, Sam’s Club has now developed into one of the largest membership stores in the world. At present, it has more than 800 outlets worldwide, providing a superb shopping experience for more than 50 million individual and business members.

According to the head of WalMart China, Sam’s Club provides a wide variety of commodities, mainly selected from famous places of origin and influential brands. The products, over 5,000 types, are supplied in a differentiated and customized way. Among them, import items come from over 30 countries, accounting for about 80% of the total. The Chongqing-situated superstore will create a high-quality and one-stop consumption landmark in this city.

To satisfy the requirements of Sam’s Club for facilities, Longfor had made some exclusive designs at the early planning stage of the Lijia Paradise Walk Street.
