According to Chongqing Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau (the Bureau for short), from January to November 2018 in Chongqing, there were 367,000 new entrepreneurs, loans of 3.08 billion RMB were provided to support start-ups. In total, 26,000 businesses were directly supported, and 127,000 jobs were created.

According to the Chongqing Municipal Market Supervision Bureau, by the end of May this year, the number of Chongqing private market entities had exceeded 2.5 million, reaching 2,501,783.

On June 13, the launching ceremony of 2019 National Mass Innovation and Entrepreneurship Week’s Chongqing branch was held in Chongqing Internet Institute, Liangjiang New Area. Under the theme of Promoting Dynamic Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and Development, it fueled the increasingly intense passion for innovation and entrepreneurship in Chongqing.

The data show that by the end of 2018, Chongqing boasted 322 maker spaces and 68 technology business incubators, and provided services for more than 7,000 entrepreneur teams and 5,000 start-ups. By the end of May this year, the number of private market entities in Chongqing had exceeded 2.5 million.

Platform Building: 5,000 offices for free

To promote Mass Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Chongqing has issued a series of preferential policies since last year. At the beginning of this year, the Bureau announced that 5,000 free start-up stations would be provided to the young talent for entrepreneurship and innovation each year.

“Free start-up stations can be found in all the districts and counties, and the young talent can apply through the entrepreneurship service windows with a maximum validity period of 1 year for free,” said a staff of the Bureau. During the application, young talented people only need to provide the application form, ID card, diploma, and business license, and they can obtain a notice of recommendation on the spot after verification.

More Convenience: get a business license within one day

“It is becoming increasingly more convenient and rapider to apply for business licenses.” Speaking of his own entrepreneurial experience, Zheng Zulin, Head of Jia You Zhan Restaurant in Ba’nan District, would like to give thumbs up to the market supervision department. Not long ago, he applied for a new company name and completed the procedures in one hour.

In the past eight years, Zheng Zulin has contacted the market supervision department many times. He was most impressed by better staff services and higher efficiency, so entrepreneurs can show up in person less often or do not need to show up to handle procedures.

In the Chongqing Online Official hall, applicants can submit application materials online. If approved, they can obtain a business license. From applying to obtaining the permit, they are required to show up for once at most.
