It’s reported that the platform will provide seafood traders in Chongqing and other western regions of China with cross-border seafood direct purchase and supporting services. By connecting the traders at home and abroad, the platform will complete the supply-demand docking service so that contracts can be signed there. Moreover, the platform will integrate third-party service providers in cross-border logistics and payments, financing, insurance, declaration, and other industries. Through business cooperation, technology docking and other solutions, the platform will complete full-chain tracking in logistics, coordination of multi-mode transport logistics, quality control on seafood transportation, monitoring on property handover, cross-border payments, secured financing, insurance claims, and other services, providing security for transactions.
In technology, by making use of blockchain, big data and other technologies through the whole process of business, the platform will enable the data monitoring and cold-chain multi-mode transport service to be supervised, tracked and effectively interacted in the whole process. Through the capabilities in the full-chain information service, the platform will empower trade participants to improve efficiency and reduce operating costs as well as facilitating international trade.
Principals of China-Singapore (Chongqing) Demonstration Initiative on Strategic Connectivity (CCI) Administrative Bureau said, “The establishment of this platform can not only make distributors in Western China have access to seafood direct-purchase abroad, but also promote the development of cold-chain logistics industry and improve the efficiency of cross-border multi-mode transport cold-chain logistics by depending on advantageous resources of Singapore.”
Meanwhile, the platform can enhance the construction of New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor, balance the returned goods and reduce the costs of the channel to boost the export of more agricultural products to Southeast Asia from Western China.
