The smart convenience “17 Shandian”
Scanning a QR code for password-free payment, selecting goods, paying via facial recognition, and leaving, the whole shopping process takes less than a minute. This can be experienced in a smart store in Chongqing Digital Economy Development Exhibition Center of the Liangjiang Xingfu Square.
The smart convenience “17 Shandian” of Yunyou World has upgraded the QR code-scanning payment to facial-recognition payment. Customers can go shopping even without taking the mobile phone, realizing “take and go,” which is a smart retail concept first put forward by the American retail giant Amazon.
According to information resources, the “17 Shandian” will further showcase its nationally leading smart retail solutions at this year’s SCE, where citizens can experience unattended supermarket and shelves. This series of innovative retail terminal products can provide convenient services ranging from 5 meters to 500 meters, which complement each other in consumption scenarios and form a new retail matrix with no blind angles.
As the representative of smart retail in Liangjiang New Area, “17 Shandian” has set up 51 outlets and obtained several patented technologies in the smart retail industry. “The facial recognition will be applied in all newly opened outlets,” said He Yangchun, who introduced that the total number of their outlets nationwide was planned to reach 150 before middle 2020.
As one of the China-Singapore (Chongqing) Demonstration Initiative on Strategic Connectivity, the “17 Shandian” has signed strategic cooperation agreements with Singapore enterprises. In this October, the store will open its first outlet in Singapore, and another two to four ones will also settle there within this year, making the store a new retail brand going overseas.
