By then, the contestants and audience will be offered a brand new flight view and experience there. On the afternoon of July 28, as the first First-person view (FPV) rushed out of the gate, the 14-year-old Xia Heng took the crown with the result of 1 minute 4 seconds for five cycles. Following him, the runnerup Qiang Long completed the contest with a result of 1 minute and 6 seconds. The per-cycle results of Xia and Qiang were 12.8 seconds and 13.2 seconds, respectively, stunning other competitors with their excellent techniques and professional performance.

During the contest, the contestants were split into 14 groups of 4 each. Traditional outdoor tracks were adopted this time, offering a medium operative difficulty level. A rule of multiple timing and qualifying session was used to obtain a ranking of the best results of the contestants, and then the top 16, top 8 and top 4 were decided.

The preliminaries in Guiyang ended successfully. According to the competition system, the top 26 contestants will enter the finals of IDRGP 2019 at CIEC. In addition, top 15 contestants in the preliminaries also received corresponding awards.
