The First International Train via Rail-rail Multimodal Transport of Guoyuan Port Departed

According to Chongqing Pilot Free Trade Zone Office (CFTZ Office for short) in Liangjiang New Area, a train loaded with goods departed from Guoyuan Port on August 6 and would arrive in Poznan, Poland 10 days later. As the first international train via rail-rail multimodal transport undertaken by Guoyuan Port, it will further promote the construction of Guoyuan Port as a global transfer station and facilitate the development of Liangjiang New Area as an essential gateway for inland opening-up.

This train departed from Xiamen on August 2 and arrived at Guoyuan Port on the evening of August 4, and then left for Poznan via China Railway Express (Chongqing) on the 6th after completing the transfer and customs formalities.

It carried 41 containers of semi-finished products of LCD TVs, LCD display boards and mainboards, with a total number of 1,065.

The person in charge of CFTZ Office in Liangjiang New Area introduced that, located at the junction point of the Belt and Road and the Yangtze River Economic Zone, Guoyuan Port’s appeal to the supply of goods in surrounding areas of Chongqing was growing. Next, they will promote the regular operation of the train, and further expand the radiation capacity of Guoyuan Port.

The person added that the successful operation of the Xiamen — Guoyuan Port — Poznan train would help smooth the economic and trade cooperation among China’s eastern, central and western regions as well as among Eurasian countries along this route.
