The first flight route from Chongqing to Wushan will adopt Airbus A320 of China Express Airlines. An economy airline ticket is RMB 310, while first-class is 2,700 respectively.

Chongqing Wushan Airport, one of Chongqing’s five (one large and four small) civil airports, is a major project of Wushan in tourism-centered traffic construction. Flight routes of this airport now include the Chongqing-Wushan route by China Express Airlines and the Chongqing-Wushan-Yantai route by China Eastern Airlines, and they will conduct in-depth cooperation in tourism marketing. Recently, Wushan County signed the cooperation agreement with China Southern Airlines to open the Guangzhou-Wushan-Guangzhou route. According to information, the operating period is from October 27, 2019, to October 24, 2020, during which three weekly flights will be operated by A319, A320, B737, and B738.

Chongqing Wushan Airport, with an altitude of around 1,771m, is the highest civil airport in Chongqing. Looking far into the distance from this airport, one can see the Qutang Gorge in the south and Wuxia Gorge in the northeast, overlooking the river running eastward, making it the only domestic airport with such fascinating landscape of the towering gorges and accessible placid water.
