Chongqing’s Import-Export Trade Value Up by 14.8% from January to July

According to Chongqing Customs in the first seven months of this year, the total import and export value of Chongqing’s foreign trade reached 313.19 billion RMB. This is an increase of 14.8% over the same period last year, of which the export value reached 201.67 billion RMB, up 14.5%, and the import value was 111.52 billion RMB, up 15.3%. Chongqing's import and export value of its processing trade reached 159.19 billion RMB, up 20.1%, accounting for 50.8% of the total trade value in the same period compared with 48.8% last year.

Chongqing’s foreign trade reached RMB 313.19 billion

The export of electronic information products contributed significantly to the overall export growth. The export value in this field was 142.05 billion RMB, accounting for 70.4% of the city’s total export value in the same period, an increase of 24.5%.

The city’s import and export value to the countries along the Belt and Road routes increased significantly, which totaled 85.4 billion RMB, up 31.8%.
