“Intelligent Manufacturing Creates New Industries” Summit Forum, the first of 2019 Smart China Expo (SCE), was held in Chongqing a few days ago. SCE Organizing Committee, the sponsor, invited over 200 leaders of enterprises and experts working on big data and artificial intelligence (AI), and heads of big data competent departments at all levels of Chongqing to attend.
Viktor Mayer-Schönberger, author of Big Data: A Revolution That Will Transform How We Live, Work and Think and Professor at the University of Oxford, delivered a keynote speech named Manufacturing Industry Reshaped by Big Data, held a Thoughts Sharing Meeting and sent signed books to entrepreneurs and experts. He accepted the offer to become an advisor to Jiulongpo District.
Patrick Nijs, the founder of EU-China Joint Innovation Center (EUCJIC) and former ambassador of Belgium to China, also delivered a keynote speech, Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Boosts Intelligent Innovation, at the Forum, which focused on the realization of IPR value in big data and intellectualization industry. EUCJIC aims to establish an EU-China international IPR center, which can work as an operation platform for IPR, technological trade and fin-tech between the two parties and solidly support the big data and intellectualization industrial development.
Zhou Tao, Director of the Big Data Research Center and a doctoral supervisor at the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, attended the Forum and delivered a keynote speech. Chongqing Big Data AI Innovation Center, led by Zhou Tao, centered around big data intellectual application in fields like finance, transportation, industry, and medical care, exploring government-industry-university-research institute-user cooperative innovation, promoting industrial development in cities within the Chengdu-Chongqing City Cluster, and improving industrial transformation and upgrading and urban competitiveness of Chongqing.
Next, Chongqing will avail itself of the opportunity to develop into a new smart city, to comprehensively intellectualize social administration and industrial economy, and build national big data comprehensive pilot zones and industrial clusters.
