Yangshan Deep-Water Port is one of the ports with the largest cargo handling capacity in the world. On the morning of August 29, the 5G intelligent heavy trucks of SIH finished the world’s first 5G intelligent port operation. The 5G intelligent heavy trucks worked together with other intelligent equipment to achieve perfect collaboration in a complex environment. They finished cargo handling within 15 seconds and quickly drove automatically along the planned optimal route to the designated destination.

Internet dream trucks of SIH usher in a new era

As early as December 2017, the launch of the Internet dream trucks of SIH opened a new era of intelligent networking of heavy trucks in China. In January 2018, the autonomous container trucks of SIH started the driving program according to the pre-arranged working plan, identified surrounding objects such as containers, mechanical equipment, and lighthouses, automatically and accurately entered the designated operation position of the gantry crane, and finally completed the allocation and transportation of goods in port areas.
