Chongqing Impression • Fine Arts Exhibition showed 40 works with Chongqing as the theme of creation, including Chinese paintings created by Chongqing artists, as well as oil paintings and photography works created by Singaporean artists in Chongqing. These works showed the unique cityscape, natural scenery and folk customs of Chongqing as the Mountain City, River City, and Sleepless City from different perspectives and expressive forms. The site attracted a large number of Singaporeans to watch.

Chongqing Impression • Intangible Cultural Heritage Works Exhibition showed the national and municipal intangible cultural heritage techniques in Chongqing, including cheongsam accessory, Miao embroidery, grasscloth, wooden New Year pictures, lacquerware, and so on. These intangible cultural heritage products are all the ingenious works of inheritors of Chongqing intangible cultural heritage and artisans who master the intangible cultural heritage techniques. It is known that this is the first overseas exhibition of Chongqing’s innovative practice of “inheritance of intangible cultural heritage techniques + targeted poverty alleviation,” and all the sales income will be invested in the training of intangible cultural heritage techniques in poor villages and towns in Chongqing.

The special performance of ballet Pursuit of Shangri-La will be staged at the Gateway Theatre in Singapore on September 12. The play is a project of China National Arts Fund and has won the silver award of plays of the fifth Joint Performance of National Ethnic Minorities and the Five “One” Project award of Chongqing, representing the ballet level of Chongqing and even Southwest China.

Under the framework of China-Singapore (Chongqing), Demonstration Initiative on Strategic Connectivity, the cultural exchange and tourism interaction between Chongqing and Singapore have become increasingly frequent and prosperous.
