Chongqing Marathon 2020 Opening Ceremony
On Oct 30, Chongqing International Marathon 10-year anniversary and opening ceremony for registration for 2020 was held on Nanbin Park, the starting and ending point of the race. According to Li Wei, the director of Chongqing International Marathon Co. Ltd., Chongqing marathon race date next year was confirmed as March 22, 2020. The reporter learned that the total scale of the 2020 Chongqing Marathon`s quota is 30,000 participators, including 20,000 for full marathons, 8,000 for mini marathons, and 2,000 for parent-child marathons.

Chongqing Marathon was jointly hosted by the China Athletics Association and the Chongqing Municipal Sports Bureau. In addition to the full marathon, mini marathon and parent-child marathon, it will also have supporting activities such as the Chongqing Marathon Expo during the event. The starting point for next year's Chongqing marathon, mini marathon and parent-child marathon is still Chongqing Nanbin Park. The end points are Nanbin Park, Chaotianmen Bridge and Changjiahui Shopping Park.

The quota of Chongqing Marathon continues the registration via lottery. From now until November 19th, the public can sign up on WeChat or the official website. From November 19th to December 10th, the Organizing Committee will conduct data reviews, and the lottery will be held on December 11. The results of the participators will be announced on December 12, and the public can make inquiries through relevant channels. The registration for the mini marathon and parent-child marathon will open on December 13.
