On November 10, the 2019 Chongqing International Women’s Half Marathon officially began in Nanbin Road.

With a low altitude, flat terrain, and small slope, Nanbin Road is a perfect place for runners to create their best results. Sure enough, the top three players produced good results on this course.

With the result of 01:12:55, Moroccan Rkia EI Moukim won first place, followed by Ukrainian Darya Mykhaylva, with the outcome of 01:13:58 and Kenyan Jelagat Lilian, with the result of 01:14:30. It is worth mentioning that the three players broke the record of 01:19:21 set by He Mingxue in 2017.

Moroccan Rkia EI Moukim won the first place in the competition.

“This is my first time to Chongqing, and it is great to run by the river.” Rkia EI Moukim was very happy after the competition. She said that she came to Chongqing to enjoy the scenery and taste the food, not just to compete. “I hope to become the pride and model for my 2-year-old daughter after winning the championship. I also hope one day I can come back to Chongqing with my daughter.”

The event is sponsored by the Chinese Athletics Association, Administration of Sport of Chongqing and Chongqing Nan’an District People’s Government, and undertaken by Chongqing Daily News Group, Chongqing Hualong Newsnet Group Co., Ltd., and Kaicheng Sports and Culture Industry (Chongqing) Co., Ltd.
