From 8 to 9 in December, the 2019 China Robot Industry Development Conference, co-sponsored by China Machinery Industry Federation, China Service Robot Industry Alliance (CRIA), and Liangjiang New Area Administrative Committee, was held in Chongqing. Found in 2012, the event already has eight successful sessions in Shanghai, Guangzhou, Qingdao, and other cities. It is the second time for Chongqing to act as its host city, and Chongqing has also been the only one to hold it twice to date.
The 2019 China Robot Industry Development Conference was held in Chongqing.
“Chongqing enjoys a sound foundation to develop the robot industry, and it provides a promising market to this industry,” said Qu Daokui, President of the CRIA and CEO of Shenyang-based SIASUN Robot and Automation Co., Ltd., on the 2019 CRIDC.
He added that the annual CRIDC functions as a significant platform for insiders to know about the trend and direction of China’s robot industry, sort out progressive achievement, and discuss the industrial development. Currently, China’s economy has shifted from high-speed growth to high-quality development, and it is also of importance to advance the robot industry. Under this background, the 2019 CRIDC held in Chongqing will exert a great influence.
Liangjiang New Area is building robot industrial ecology actively
One of the five roles positioned by the State Council on Liangjiang New Area is the “base of advanced manufacturing industry and modern service industry in inland China”, introduced by Qin Shubin, Deputy-director of the Liangjiang New Area Administrative Committee. Over the past several years, Liangjiang New Area is accelerating to build robot industrial ecology and has already celebrated a certain achievement.
Chongqing enjoys a sound foundation to develop the robot industry.
Liangjiang New Area has settled the global top three players in the robot industry, namely Fanuc, ABB, and KUKA AG, as well as Kawasaki, the fifth player internationally. Besides, it also has Huashu Robot, a top domestic manufacturer of robot body, Golden Age, a leading company for electric vehicle motor with proprietary intellectual property rights, system integration projects represented by Shanlian, Welink, and Randroyal Jacksun, and flagship enterprises in service robots, with Ubtech Robotics and Leju as the representatives. Currently, a pattern with the gathering of high-end robots, starting with key components, and optimizing industry ecology has gradually taken shape.
Meanwhile, Liangjiang New Area has already built up a financial industry capital platform. Since its official operation in 2015, Chongqing Liangjiang Robots Leasing Limited has offered upgrading and transformation services to a total of 54 enterprises, with an investment of RMB 4.78 billion.
