Belt and Road Import Agricultural Commodities Exhibition to Open on December 27

On December 18, Yubei District announced that the Belt and Road Commodity Exhibition and Trading Center (Airport) had been completed. The 2019 Belt and Road Import Agricultural Commodities Exhibition and Sea Territory Hot Shopping Festival will be held at the Belt and Road Commodity Exhibition and Trading Center (Airport) in Yubei, Chongqing from December 27, 2019, to January 1, 2020.

During the exhibition, the organizers will arrange the cross-border e-commerce platforms, International Chamber(s) of Commerce, import supermarkets and import-export-trading companies to display and sell the imported agricultural and sideline products at nearly 100 booths in the trading center room, including fresh food, fruits and vegetables, aquatic products, seafood, poultry eggs, grain and oil, native products, wine, coffee, tea, spices and all kinds of packaged food.

In the meantime, Hungary, Republic of Belarus, Thailand, and Ethiopia will also be invited to set up individual booths. Additionally, the food corridor will be set up to bring the food feast of countries along the BRI routes to the public.

Reportedly, many imported agricultural and sideline products are offering a discount during the exhibition.

The Belt and Road Commodity Exhibition and Trading Center (Airport) is positioned as import agricultural products distribution center in w. China. After opening on December 27, the Exhibition and Trading Center will import the commodities from Europe, Southeast Asia, and countries along the BRI, mainly including fruit, fresh food, meat, grain, and oil and pre-packaged food wholesale, retail, and on-site experience consumption. Currently, there are 30 settled enterprises, operating over 400 kinds of products. The annual turnover is expected to reach RMB 2 billion in the future.
