As the frontier of the digital economy, artificial intelligence (AI) develops rapidly. Earlier data show that, from January to August, AI service companies above the designated size achieved the business revenue of RMB 602 million, up by 236.4 % year on year.
In the first three quarters, the added value of the city’s industries above the designated size saw a year-on-year increase of 5.4%, 43.5% of which owed to the strategic emerging manufacturing industry.
The boom in the digital economy has further stimulated the consumption of smart products. In the first three quarters, the use of wearable smart devices in Chongqing grew by nearly 50%, that of smart home appliances was hiked up by over 60%, and that of smartphones rose by almost 40%.
According to the recent data from Chongqing Statistics Bureau, among the new products in Chongqing, the consumption of integrated circuit equipment jumped by 4.4 times, that of satellite navigation and positioning receivers rose by two times, that of new-energy vehicles grew by 23.3%, that of 3D printing equipment surged by 86.6%, that of electronic components increased by 24.0%, that of liquid crystal display screens rose by 38.9%, that of specialized equipment for environmental pollution prevention and control grew by 10.9%, and that of tablet computers increased by 38.6%.
“Big Data Intelligence has driven the rapid growth of emerging economies.” The person in charge of Chongqing Statistics Bureau introduced that the city is taking precise measures to unswervingly implement the innovation-driven strategy, vigorously develop intelligent manufacturing and manufacturing intelligence, promote the transformation and upgrading of traditional manufacturing, and speed up the fostering of new drivers for industrial development.

A total of 29 industries out of the 39 ones have achieved year-on-year growth. The latest data from Chongqing Statistics Bureau show that the added value of the city’s industries above the designated size saw a year-on-year rise of 5.9% from January to November.
In the first 11 months, 29 industries among the 39 ones have achieved year-on-year increases. Among the pillar industries, the added value of the automobile industry declined by 8.2%, that of the motorcycle industry grew by 2.0%, that of the electronic sector increased by 13.4%, that of the equipment industry rose by 8.5%, that of the chemical engineering industry was up by 0.8%, that of the pharmaceutical industry grew by 7.4%, that of the materials industry increased by 15.7%, that of the consumer goods industry rose by 7.8%, and that of the energy industry was up by 4.3%.
From January to November, the export delivery value of industrial enterprises above the designated size reached RMB 339,842 million, up by 8.4% on a nominal basis.
