Chongqing accomplishes its first 5G + Smart Education program on January 2, 2020.

On that day, Guo Li, a special-class teacher, taught math to students of the two schools at the same time at Renhe Street Elementary School.

“There are many methods to draw a circle. Besides the one we mentioned, do you know any others? I want to ask the boy, with the student ID of No. 1 from Group 4 of Zhongyi Township Elementary School, to give me an answer.” Guo Li questioned students in Shizhu through the screen.

“I used a pair of compasses.” The boy stood up and replied. His face showed on the screen set up in the classroom of Renhe Street Elementary School.

HD AI tracking camera recognized and captured motions of students and teachers, realizing information synchronization.

Xiao Fangming, President of Renhe Street Elementary School, said: “5G technology enables synchronous learning of students in rural areas and cities, which facilitates upgrading of learning approaches.”

It’s the first time for Chongqing to develop 5G classrooms, and Renhe Street Elementary School is the city’s first school to introduce relevant equipment. The advanced technology shortens the distance between kids in rural areas and excellent teachers and effectively expands the ways for education support.
