100 Million Yuan in Sales on Agricultural Products during CCIAPF

On January 13, the 4-day 19th Western China (Chongqing) International Agricultural Products Fair (CCIAPF) was successfully concluded. During the four days, 475,000 citizens visited the CCIAPF on-site and made special purchases for the Spring Festival, and 100,000 people browsed the webpage of the fair. The sales value of agricultural products reached RMB 105.62 million (including 60.62 million of on-site offline transactions and 45 million of online transactions), the value of signed purchase and sales orders for agricultural products reached RMB 12,563 million, and the value of signed investment agreements for major investment attraction projects of rural revitalization was RMB 46.47 billion.

Chen Yong, Deputy Director of Chongqing Municipal Agricultural and Rural Committee, introduced that this CCIAPF is a professional, international, market-oriented, intelligent, and branded fair. The international CCIAPF organized 16 countries along the “Belt and Road,” including Tanzania, Vietnam, France, Thailand, Malaysia, India, Russia, Australia, Brazil, and other related countries to participate in the exhibition, and realized a total sales value of agricultural and sideline products, including green mangoes, wine, and coffee, being RMB 7.8 million.

The intelligent CCIAPF invited more than 100 online popular anchors to market popular agricultural products such as Fengjie’s navel oranges, Qianjiang’s vine tea, and Jiangjin’s Sichuan pepper, attracting an online audience of 28 million. More than 2,000 fans learned the details of the CCIAPF. They participated in the activity of “give agricultural products of your hometown thumbs up” through scanning the QR code and following the WeChat Official Account “Yunonghui.” The value of online orders placed in the CCIAPF Mall on the “Chongqing Flavor Agricultural Products E-commerce Platform” exceeded RMB 500,000.

This year’s CCIAPF features a robust festive atmosphere of the Chinese New Year because most of the exhibits are special purchases for the Spring Festival and cured meat, fish, etc., which were favored and snapped up by citizens. Chongqing has made significant progress in poverty alleviation through consumption. The sales value of agricultural products in 18 poverty-stricken districts and counties exceeded RMB 14 million, and that of farm products in 18 villages and towns of extreme poverty was RMB 120,000. The 18 villages and towns exhibited more than 100 kinds of agricultural products, among which the citizens widely favored the preserved meat, dry cowpeas, honey, bamboo shoots, batata starch, and other products. Meanwhile, the city held the Conference of Chongqing-Shandong-Guangdong Agricultural Products Production and Marketing Matchmaking & Shandong-Chongqing Poverty Alleviation through Collaborative Consumption, with the value of agricultural product sales orders signed on-site being RMB 390,000.

In addition to the sales of agricultural products, investment attraction and business cooperation have also yielded substantial results. The value of signed investment agreements for major investment attraction projects of rural revitalization was RMB 46.47 billion, the investments of domestic key enterprises such as Wens Foodstuff Group Co., Ltd., Jiangxi Shuangbaotai Animal Husbandry Development Co., Ltd. and New Hope Liuhe reached RMB 8.27 billion for seven pig industrialization projects, which effectively promoted the production and supply of pigs. Chongqing Customs District P.R.CHINA signed a cooperation agreement with Chongqing Municipal Agricultural and Rural Committee and awarded licenses to 12 agricultural export demonstration bases. Through actively carrying out trade negotiations and field visits, Hong Kong’s businessmen explicitly expressed their intention to assist in selling the Oranges of Rongchang District to Hong Kong, Malaysia, Indonesia, and other regions. Zhongli Group has negotiated with the Sanlei Tiantian Agricultural Company for related matters of the export of kiwi fruit to Japan.
