Travelers from Hubei Received Considerate Accommodation in Chongqing Designated Hotels

Chongqing - Until Jan. 29, in Yubei District, the two designated hotels for travelers from Hubei (Shengming International Hotel and Vienna Hotel Jiangbei International Airport Terminal 3 branch) have accommodated 56 travelers, except 2 are Zhejiang travelers, the rest are of Hubei.

Travelers from Hubei received accommodation arrangement in Chongqing

Mr. Cai and his family stayed in Shengming International Hotel, one of the two designated hotels for travelers from Hubei in Yubei District, Chongqing.

Temperature measurement carried out in the Shengming International Hotel, one of the two designated hotels for travelers from Hubei in Yubei District, Chongqing.

Mr. Cai, with his wife and daughter, are among the 51 guests in Shengming International Hotel. On Jan.28, as Wuhan had already locked down, they landed in Chongqing instead. At the worries on their relatives in Wuhan and also discriminations from people, Mr. Cai wanted to go back badly as they landed.

“After body temperature measurement, filing out the form and a series of procedures, we were taken to the hotel where we are now. It took around one hour. Under the special circumstances, we really appreciate the arrangement," said Mr. Cai. After checking in and seeing the room environment, Mr. Cai felt a bit relieved.

“Then I have contacted my relatives in Wuhan and told them that we are fine. They felt relieved. We would like to thank Chongqing people’s kindness.”

Ms. Xu, among the tour group from Wuhan, is of a similar situation with Mr. Cai’s family. “After landing here, the inspectors carried out the professional inspection on all of us, including temperature measurement, health declaration report, and we actively cooperated with all the procedures,” said Ms. Xu. She was also very thankful for the arrangement of the hotel. “People here are not only not discriminating against us, but also help to arrange accommodations for us. We are grateful. With help, we believe we can overcome the epidemic," she said.

Designated Hotels offer considerate service for travelers from Hubei

Shengming International Hotel prepares fresh food for the guests who cannot get back home in Hubei in the hotel.

The 34-year-old chef Mr. Zhang and his colleagues in Shengming Hotel were busily working. On Jan. 26, Mr. Zhang was urgently called back by Shengming Hotel just after spending 30 and some hours’ spring festival time with family. “Everyone shoulders the responsibility in front of the epidemic. I want to contribute my part," said Mr. Zhang, hoping to set a good moral example for his child.

After the training of protection and service standards, Mr. Zhang and five other chefs formally went on duty, undergoing temperature measurement every day. They were responsible for cooking food for the travelers who stayed in the designated hotel.

Because most of the guests in the designated hotel are from Hubei and Mr. Zhang has experienced cooking in hotels in Hubei, he has become the "backbone" of the six chefs in the hotel. "We also hope to provide considerate services for those who can't go home, especially those from Hubei, so that they can feel the warmth of their home in Chongqing," said Mr. Zhang.

In the kitchen of the hotel, there were a lot of fresh vegetables and meat, which were in plentiful supply. Mr. Zhang introduced that the hotel guests’ breakfast mainly included eggs, milk, porridge, and cake. Lunch and dinner were two dishes of meat, one serving of vegetables, one bowl of soup, and fruit. "Breakfast, lunch, and dinner need to be delivered to the guest's rooms," said Mr. Zhang.
