Online educational services witness demand surge
Due to the impact of the novel coronavirus, schools at all levels in Chongqing have postponed the start of the new semester. Institutions and child-care providers have suspended offline services.

Following the postponement of school semesters, schools from kindergarten to universities, institutions, educational companies have offered online courses to students.
A kindergarten located in Liangjiang New Area, Chongqing, has launched an online class to teach children what to learn and how to play at home, from traditional Chinese poetry and nursery rhymes to picture stories and fun sports.
Chongqing Southwest University will officially launch online teaching on February 24. Students can learn knowledge through online teaching platforms and mobile terminals. The university will formulate corresponding courses for online education to ensure the regular learning progress of students.
At the same time, "Chongqing Cloud Classroom", developed by Chongqing Academy of Education Sciences, will be put into operation on February 10 to serve primary and secondary school students and kindergarten children in Chongqing. The platform will provide convenience for distance education during the epidemic, and can be delivered to primary, middle and secondary vocational school students in the whole city for no charge, to minimize the impact of the outbreak on school teaching.

To actively prevent and control the novel coronavirus outbreak, minimize the cross-infection caused by crowd gathering, guide patients to seek medical treatment in time, and relieve the working pressure of frontline medical staff, several hospitals in Chongqing have launched free online health consultation services.

The first thing in the morning of Jin Shatao, a pediatrician at the Children's Hospital of Chongqing Medical University, is to turn on his computer to check how many patients are consulting online and then patiently answers them.
Since the hospital opens an internet consultation service on February 3, Doctor Jin Shatao has received 14,499 patients online by 17:00 on February 6. He replied to one patient every four minutes and received a favorable comment rate of 98%.
The process of online diagnosis and treatment is straightforward. Patients choose a doctor, click consultation, and then describe their symptoms, problems, and upload pictures. Then they wait for the doctor's reply. Each consultation is valid for 48 hours, during which patients can add four questions.
A young patient's parent said, "a few days ago, my seven years old son got a cough, my family was nervous. However, through the online diagnosis and treatment, the final determination is the common cold, I am very relieved."
It is reported that Daping Hospital, Chongqing Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital, the First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University, and so on have opened free online consultation, inquiry, and other services.
