Online Viewing of the Canola Flowers Sea in Chongqing

Chongqing- March is the best time to enjoy the sight of canola flower. The golden sea of canola flowers attracts numerous tourists every year, but have you ever seen a colorful sea of canola flowers? This year, a 200,000 sqm colorful sea of canola flowers will make its debut in the Chongkan Flower Sea in Tongnan District Chongqing as the biggest highlight. According to the Tongnan District Commission of Culture and Tourism Development, Chen Tuan Hometown · Chongkan Flower Sea will be open to the public from March 6.

This is the first time for Tongnan to grow the colorful canola flowers. It is a new variety of ornamental cultivar, which has four main colors, namely red, pink, purple, and white.

Climbing up to the peak of the Chentuan Mountain, tourists could get a bird view of the world’s most extensive (369 meters long) 3D colorful pattern of Tai Ji Diagram and see a pattern of Tai Ji Eight Diagrams with a diameter of 236 meters and with wheat planted on the land.

The scenic spot will open to the public from March 6.

The related person in charge of Tongnan District Commission of Culture and Tourism Development introduced that, this year, the flower sea will be open for free to medical workers and their parents, spouses, and children, as well as people over 65 years old, children under six years old or under 1.2 meters in height, the disabled, military personnel in active service, etc.

While appreciating canola flowers, you can also take a boat tour.

Due to the outbreak of COVID-19, only tourists with healthy (nonfebrile) body temperature can enter the scenic spot after showing their ticket and ID card, wearing masks properly, and registering their physical condition and identity information.

For the epidemic prevention and control and the safety of tourists, the flower sea will control the number of tourists in different periods. With the tourist capacity of 11,000 in a single day, at most 2,900 tourists can enter the scenic spot simultaneously. After entering the scenic spot, tourists should avoid crowds, keep wearing masks properly, and maintain a safe distance of more than 1.5 meters from each other.

Not many tourists are expected to visit the new sight this year. Tongnan has duly launched “online flower viewing” through the slow live streaming, bird view, VR panorama, micro-video, among other ways.
