Over RMB 7 Billion of Export Reached in Three Comprehensive Bonded Zones Since Resumption of Work

According to Chongqing Customs District P. R. China, a total of 95 enterprises in Chongqing Xiyong Comprehensive Bonded Zone, Chongqing Lianglu-Cuntan Free Trade Port and Chongqing Jiangjin Comprehensive Bonded Zone have resumed work since February 10, and their total exported value reached RMB 7 billion as of March 4. As Chongqing Fuling Comprehensive Bonded Zone has just officially put into operation, it is excluded from the statistics.

Yingyeda (Chongqing) Co., Ltd., a notebook manufacturer in Chongqing Xiyong Comprehensive Bonded Zone, has resumed 75% of production lines. Since the Spring Festival, it has produced 160,000 notebooks.

As planned, a total of 2,700 notebooks would be exported to India on February 19 via Shekou Customs through the waterway. Due to the outbreak of COVID-19, there was no appropriate date for shipment. Therefore, the enterprise applied for a change of export port and chose the road transportation. Because of the alteration, it needs a certain amount of time to redeclare for customs clearance. Xiyong Customs then decided to instruct the enterprise to make a standard redeclaration after a risk assessment.

“The electronics industry requires importing raw materials and exporting products.” According to Tan Huiqiong, Director of Integration Services of Xiyong Customs, Chongqing Customs allows enterprises to register first for the prevention and control materials of COVID-19 and then finish the relevant procedure after the resumption of work and production. For the urgently-needed production equipment and raw materials, they will also receive fast customs clearance with less than 30% of working time.

In those enterprises that resumed work, more than 50,000 employees have returned to work, ensuring smooth and orderly progress.
