A Batch of Theme Parks in Chongqing Reopened

Recently, theme parks in Chongqing, including Locajoy in Yongchuan, Chongqing Happy Valley, and Chongqing Zoo, were reopened to bring happy time back to citizens and tourists, according to Chongqing Municipal Commission of Culture and Tourism Development.

As spring is in the air, the fierce African lion, cute ring-tailed lemur, a funny chimpanzee. In Locajoy are vivifying the spirit of the season. The scenic area has officially resumed operation except for its indoor areas such as the Dolphin Theatre, Royal Circus Theatre, and Ice World. Visitors are required to purchase tickets online on a real-name basis, have their temperature taken, wear masks, keep a distance of more than 1.5 meters from others when queuing and visiting, and present such health certificates as Yukang Code and Huiyou Code.

From now until December 31 of this year, each medical worker in China can get a ticket to Locajoy for free with the ID card and the doctor’s or nurse’s qualification certificate, and each of those sent by Chongqing to Hubei for medical support can get a free annual pass to Locajoy for family (including two adults and one child) with the ID card, the doctor’s or nurse’s qualification certificate, and other credentials required.

Chongqing Zoo will be reopened on March 25. The Bird’s Forest, Kangaroo Garden, Goldfish Pavilion, and some indoor exhibition halls will be temporarily closed. The canteen, recreation facilities, and strollers will also be out of service. Visitors can buy the ticket online or on the spot, both on a real-name basis, and enter the zoo after the verification code, ID card, and health code or health certificate are verified. The zoo will stop receiving visitors when the number reaches 30% of the instant capacity. From the date of resumption of the zoo to December 31, 2020, medical workers across China are free of charge with valid credentials.

Chongqing Happy Valley will be reopened on March 26 with some recreation facilities, performances, stores, and restaurants closed for now. Visitors need to purchase tickets online on a real-name basis, have their temperature taken, and wear masks before entering. It will stop receiving visitors when the number per day reaches 50% of its maximum capacity.
