On March 29, the Chongqing Municipal Commission of Culture and Tourism Development released that Wanshou Mountain Scenic Area in Shizhu, Longshui Fissure Gorge in Wulong, Kaizhi Mountain Tourist Area in Dianjiang, and Xuantian Lake Scenic Area in Tongliang, which have reached the standards for national AAAA-rated scenic spots, have been successfully approved.
Shizhu Wanshou Mountain Scenic Area

Shizhu Wanshou Mountain Scenic Area is an excellent summer resort with an altitude of 1,300 meters to 1,500 meters. It has been built into a large-scale cultural tourism destination integrating natural wonders, cultural experience, recreation and entertainment, and health maintenance and vacation. It has been awarded “new landmarks for Chongqing’s cultural tourism” and “the most beautiful historical and cultural sites in Chongqing.” In addition to the “Men and Women Pillars,” a geographical indication of Shizhu, the scenic area is home to scores of historical relics, such as the ruins of Qin Liangyu (A female general in the late Ming Dynasty) Stockaded Village, Ancient Village Gate, Beacon Tower, and Commander’s Mansion.
Wulong Longshui Fissure Gorge

Wulong Longshui Fissure Gorge is the core scenic spot of the World Natural Heritage South China Karst, and a national geological park, embodying the typical karst landform. As its name suggests, it is like a deep crack in the earth. The narrowest part of the valley floor is only one meter wide, while the broadest part is less than 10 meters wide. The height between the gap and the valley floor is more than 350 meters. The stream at the bottom is murmuring and crystal clear. Both sides of the gorge are steep and cliffy. Even at noon, the sun can hardly reach the bottom. While roaming in it, it seems as if you are exploring the depths of the earth, or walking through a space-time tunnel.
Dianjiang Kaizhi Mountain Tourist Area

The Dianjiang Kaizhi Mountain Tourist Area is one of the first batches of agricultural tourism demonstration sites in China. It has been rated as “top ten flower appreciation destinations in Chongqing” and “top 20 new landmarks in Chongqing”. With landscape peony as the theme, it is the most significant core planting base of “landscape peony, medicinal peony” in southwest China, which integrates landscape peony appreciation and peony culture experience. There are the Centennial Peony Garden of Bailing Mountain, Peony Jiaoshi Valley, Peony Culture Square, Guohua Pavilion, Yinyan Pavilion, Woxiang Pavilion, Tianxia Mudan Diyi Peak, and over ten large-scale recreational experience projects. Now the 21st Dianjiang Peony Culture Festival is in full swing, which is a good time for citizens to appreciate the flowers and have an outing.
Tongliang Xuantian Lake Scenic Area

The Tongliang Xuantian Lake Scenic Area is about 3.5 kilometers long and 800 meters wide at its widest point. With the towering Bayue Mountain as the background, it commands a tranquil atmosphere and captivating views, with mountains and rivers complementing with each other. Currently, 9,225 meters of greenway around the lake has been built in the scenic area, with vast lawns, blooming flowers, lush trees, and various wild birds on both sides. In addition to feasting on the imposing natural scenery, visitors can pray at Bayue Mountain and unwind in Long Hot Spring.
