Briefing for Customs Clearance of Export Anti-Pandemic Materials

Chongqing- Since April, relevant national ministries and commissions have continuously issued policies on the export of anti-epidemic materials. On April 29, on the invitation of the Chongqing Foreign Affairs Office of the Municipal Government, Feng Junyi, an expert in Chongqing Customs and the chief of the business operation section of the Law Office, gave a presentation on the latest customs clearance policies and standards for the export of anti-epidemic materials by the State Ministries and Commissions.

Wang Wen, deputy director of the Municipal Foreign Affairs Office, said that in the emergency moment of Chongqing's anti-epidemic period, the international community has extended a helping hand to Chongqing and provided a lot of support and help. As the COVID-19 pandemic spread all over the world, Chongqing also made timely donations to cities that once supported Chongqing. With the strong support of Chongqing Customs, the foreign affairs office of the municipal government successfully completed the import and export donation of a large number of pandemic prevention materials. Up to now, Chongqing has donated anti-pandemic materials to 18 countries, which has been well received by foreign friends. With the continuous development of the international situation and the dynamic adjustment of the latest policies, Chongqing's foreign donations and the export clearance of pandemic prevention materials need to learn the new policies and process, and strictly control the quality.

At the briefing, Feng Junyi focused on 3 announcements: “Announcement No. 5 of the State Administration of Drug Administration of the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China”, “Announcement No. 12 of 2020 on Further Strengthening the Quality Control of Export of Pandemic Prevention Materials”, and “General Administration of Customs Announcement No. 53 of 2020”. He was interpreting the latest policies and standards for the export clearance of medical materials and epidemic prevention materials and comparing the emphasis and requirements of each announcement instructions.
