Chongqing- This year's Two Sessions, China's most important annual political events, will convene on May 21 and May 22. Which aspects will NPC (National People's Congress) deputies and CPPCC(China People's Political Consultative Conference) National Committee members focus on? What kinds of motions and proposals will they bring to Beijing?

"The more accurate the education is, the fairer it is," said Liu Xiya, deputy to the NPC and principal of Chongqing Xiejiawan Primary School. On May 15, iChongqing interviewed Liu Xiya before her setting off for Beijing to attend the third session of the 13th NPC.

She suggested the reform of the compulsory education stage's curriculum plan for eight consecutive years. The suggestion was adopted last year. And She was also invited to participate in the revision work initiated by the Ministry of Education.

This year, Liu Xiya prepared a motion and 11 suggestions to bring to Beijing. Her visions will focus on the field of basic education and higher vocational education continuously. Her recommendations include that allowing schools at different levels and regions to carry out flexible hierarchical management of curriculum, change summer and winter vacations into spring, summer, autumn and winter breaks, life and health education can be set up as an individual subject, etc.

She also mentioned that the upcoming China's Two Sessions is different and remarkable. It will show national wisdom, responsibility, and strength to the world, "I believe that the Two Sessions will promote the improvement and optimization of China's entire governance system."
