China’s Glorious Anti-epidemic Expert Team Returns

At 6:47 a.m. on June 18, the anti-epidemic medical team of 10 experts, established by the National Health Commission and sent to Palestine by Chongqing Municipal People's Government at the invitation of the Palestinian government, arrived in Chongqing safely by chartered plane after completing their tasks.

On June 16, China's medical expert group held a video conference with the medical experts on the Palestinian side.

The team departed from Chongqing on the morning of June 10 by a chartered plane to Palestine for eight days of work. Guided by the Chongqing office in Palestine, the experts shared anti-epidemic knowledge and exchanged related experience with Palestinian government officials, technical experts, and clinical medical workers of local medical institutions through forum, training, on-site investigation and case discussion, discussed measures on epidemic prevention and control and patient treatment, and put forward professional suggestions.

During their work in Palestine, the experts visited local hospitals, laboratories and research institutes for 23 times in total, held 15 know-how exchange seminars, attended eight guidance sessions and 13 special training sessions, with a total of about 500 people trained, and signed a framework agreement on telemedicine with Palestine.

Their efforts were highly valued by the Palestinian government and widely praised by local people. At present, the Palestinian government is taking proactive measures to put the suggestions of the expert team into practice, further improve it's epidemic prevention and control work, enhance the diagnosis and treatment capacities, and strengthen the anti-epidemic and patient treatment work after the work and production resumption.

Local media, including Palestinian TV, covered the medical team's work a lot. In Topic Today, a program of the Palestinian TV, team leader Hu Peng accepted an interview, arousing strong response among Palestinian people.

According to regulations, the team members will be quarantined for 14 days.
