Gain A Unique Experience at Chongqing Chengkou Summering and Health Festival

Chongqing - On July 17, the opening ceremony of the 9th Chongqing Chengkou Summering & Health Festival and the Shopping Campaign for Poverty Relief were held in Chengkou County of Chongqing.

Themed “travelling eco-friendly Chengkou and enjoying a cool summer”, the festival will last until September. To enhance its influence and popularity in the tourism industry and promote Daba Mountain as a summer resort, Chengkou County will launch selected tourist routes dotted with summering and farming-themed destinations such as Kang Gu Scenic Area, Lantian Township and Heyu Township. Tourists can enjoy the splendor and charm of Daba Mountain during their visit.

Chengkou is an important tourist county in Chongqing. The image of Chengkou as a primitive and eco-friendly county is widely acclaimed. During the festival, the tourists can visit natural attractions, such as the Natural Bridge, the General Stone and the big tree in De’an Village, appreciate the farming museum and farming culture experience park in Pingxi Village, Heyu Township as well as wander in the folk custom park in Lantian Township and the children’s plaza, Sanhe ancient village and happy valley in Dahongxi. At night, they can participate in the campfire party and watch the live show named Beloved Heyu and the Mountain.

Besides, the shopping campaign for poverty relief was held at the opening ceremony site of the festival. E-commerce merchants, agriculture-related enterprises and professional cooperatives from 25 villages and towns in Chengkou County participated in the activity and sold various products, such as cured meat, eggs, native honey and wild agaric, attracting a large number of consumers. Meanwhile, they conducted live-streaming through Taobao and Douyin to integrate the online and offline sales and expand their sales channels.
