Chongqing- The 2020 Smart China Expo Online will be held from September 15 to 17, according to Wednesday's press conference in southwestern China's Chongqing Municipality.

Its cohosts are the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China, National Development and Reform Commission, Ministry of Science and Technology of the PRC, Cyberspace Administration of China, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Chinese Academy of Engineering, Ministry of Trade and Industry of Singapore, and Chongqing Municipal People's Government. It's worth mentioning that Singapore has become this year's cohost from last year's guest-of-honor country. The expo sets the main venue in Chongqing Lijia Intelligent Park, and the sub-venue in Singapore.

"The Smart China Expo Online will involve a series of activities such as the summit, exhibitions, competitions, forums, and releases," said Chen Jinshan, director of Chongqing Economy and Informationization Commission.
The opening ceremony will be broadcast live, and world-renowned scientists, heads of international organizations, and industry leaders will come to Chongqing or meet online to exchange cutting-edge technology development trends and share the latest industry achievements.
Exhibitions will focus on the new products, new technologies, new business forms, and new models of the global big data intelligent industry following the integration concept of "online and offline, virtual reality". "We set up two small boutique exhibition pavilions of Smart Manufacturing Town and Smart City in Lijia Intelligent Park, mainly using virtual modeling technology online, and more than 300 world-renowned and industry-leading technology companies exhibit online," added Chen.
Altogether 41 forums and 17 competitions will be held. A total of 16 offline and more than 100 online releases will focus on new products, new technologies, and new models in the smart industry, as well as related results. In addition, signing and negotiation activities during the online expo will serve as platforms for exchanges and cooperation. Singapore was the host country for the last two SCE, it becomes the co-organizer this year, and a session will be set up in Singapore.
