Yuelai International Convention Center Completes Renovation

Chongqing Yuelai International Convention Center (YLICC) has completed renovation, according to the Yuelai Investment Group, on September 1.

To meet the needs of large conferences such as SCE and WCIFT, YLICC started renovation from December 2019, and now the renovation has completed. After the renovation, YLICC has a total of 51 conference rooms of varying sizes, including a 5,200-square-meter pillarless banquet hall and six 1,000-square-meter meeting rooms. Their combined area reaches 13,000 square meters and can seat 30,000 people. Moreover, the nearby Chongqing International Expo Center can be used as an extension.

"After the renovation, Yuelai International Convention Center can provide venues that are kitted out up to a higher standard, more intelligently and more beautifully, offering higher-quality services for every guest," said a head of Yuelai Investment Group.

In the meanwhile, the nearby Chongqing International Expo Center has focused on enhancing soft strength to build an intelligent exhibition hall. So far, it has realized a VR tour and smart guide, bringing more convenience to visitors.

Yuelai International Exhibition City will be developed into a hub of the high-quality exhibition and smart city construction by 2023.

Faced with the impact of COVID-19 this year, Yuelai International Exhibition City has proactively explored and applied the online service model. As part of this effort, it held the third China Convention and Exhibition Innovator Conference online. During the conference, it has interpreted the "online exhibition" from multiple perspectives and hosted three live streaming shows, which attracted 9.058 million viewings.

In late August, Liangjiang New Area released the Opinions on Further Advancing High-quality Development of Yuelai International Exhibition City. As outlined in the document, Yuelai International Exhibition City will be developed into a hub of the high-quality exhibition and smart city construction in western regions and even the entire China by 2023 and an international exhibition platform that can represent China and a window to showcase Chongqing's major opening-up achievements by 2025.
