Yuzhong to Play Pivotal Role in Building New Smart City

The Smart Roadshow News Center for the 2020 Smart China Expo Online conducted an online group interview themed “Smart City Yuzhong” on Monday, displaying the district’s latest achievements in speeding up the construction of a new smart city.

In recent years, Yuzhong has created a series of smart city applications in the fields of civil services, government management, urban administration, ecological environment, and industry integration, according to Guo Weixiang, deputy director of Yuzhong District Big Data Development Bureau. A digitized urban administration platform and a centralized urban information database have been established to realize intelligent governance; A one-for-all civil services platform featuring “internet + government services” and covering 88.6% of all government services has been built to simplify and streamline government procedures; an intelligent medical service platform has been built to provide full accessibility to portable diagnostic equipment in all of the district’s community health centers.

Six intelligent hospitals, eight intelligent scenic spots, ten intelligent campuses, 22 intelligent communities, and 49 intelligent construction sites have been built in Yuzhong so far, significantly improving the quality and efficiency of the district’s public services.

Guo added that since the beginning of this year, Yuzhong District Big Data Development Bureau has been preparing for the phase I construction of the smart city center, which is expected to accelerate the effective integration and sharing of information resources across departments and industries, laying a solid foundation and support system for building a new smart city.
